The 250th anniversary of the birth of Jane Austen is being celebrated at the Donegal County Museum. Three of Austen’s nieces - Cassandra, Marianne and Louisa - lived in the county. The museum is displaying a photo album which offers a glimpse of their lives and loves. It was visited by Richard Mulholland, a distant relative of the literary icon, who said she would be a “multi-millionaire” if she was writing today.
