In the trailer, Anne is shown living with an increasingly possessive Morwen (Marcia Gay Harden) while she awaits the return of her husband, who is at war. The two women are "living on the outskirts of society" in medieval England, which leads to Morwen stealing from strangers (she is shown slitting a man's throat after he brings a gift for Anne).
