The Miami Dolphins, after bringing GM Jon-Eric Sullivan on board, reached out to John Harbaugh and Chris Shula among five candidates for their head coach job.

As hot as the first two games of the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs is the coaching carousel, with several high-profile candidates interviewing for the league's seven vacancies.

McDaniel was fired on Thursday, Jan. 8, bringing an end to his four-year tenure as the Dolphins ' head coach. He finished with a 35-33 overall record and was 0-2 in the playoffs. The list of prospects naturally includes former NFL head coaches, some college head coaches and some prominent NFL assistants.
